We were working out anywhere between 2 and 5 hours a day, and we were working out severely injured. There’s absolutely no reason to work a 270 pound girl out so hard that she pukes the first time you bring in a gym. That was entirely for good tv.”
I was already heading in that direction anyway, but after reading this, I’m officially off the Biggest Loser. I hope you guys are, too. There’s nothing real or healthy about that show. Don’t support it.
I’m actually glad that this came to light. It’s important to realize that if you’re going to lose weight, you should do so in a healthy manner - such as steadily over time, through eating well and through a sustainable exercise program. Starving yourself and over-forcing exercise way past your physical threshhold will not only cause physical injury and illness, but it will cause traumatic mental problems such as seen here and long term damage!
