Will Run for Food

Last week, my email box had a great subject line: “2012 Farm Update and CSA.”  I wasn’t expecting it but it was already time to sign up again for our CSA for 2012 and I am so excited!!  This is going to be our second year getting delicious produce from Simpaug Farms in Ridgefield, CT.  The farm does a great CSA, as well as a Farm to Chef and a Farm to School program.  

Simpaug has had a busy winter and I CAN’T WAIT to get our first share.  They have new land, more barns, new fruit orchards, herb gardens, and flower beds.  They built two new greenhouses and have already begun spring plantings.  They will also be opening a farm stand location so if you’re in the area, stop by! This will include a commercial kitchen…. with a potential for farm dinners!!
