Will Run for Food

Luxe Wine Bar recently opened in Westport, CT and I thought I’d see what all the hype is about and stop by.

The space is small and intimate with one petite bar area with many more bottles of wine than the number of people the space could fit.   But that is what makes it great.  A menu of wines and a few cocktails.  The attention is on what is being poured.  And the choices are great.

All of the wines (ALL OF THEM) are served by the glass or bottle.  We began with a Barista Pinotage from South Africa.  Most people find Pinotage to be either hit or miss.  You either love it or hate it.  I personally enjoy it.  We also had the Castel Malbec, a toasty and solid wine, it was perfect for the chilly evening outside.

Luxe only serves cheese and charcuterie but as those are two of my favorite things - I’m good to go!

A fun place, perfect for a late night drink, happy hour with the girls, or second date.
