Will Run for Food

Recently, a friend of mine had a divorce celebration.  Yes, that so-called sad time in her life was something so wonderful that she ended up getting together with a few of her closest girlfriends and we celebrated her wonderfulness.  We celebrated the fact that no matter where we are in our lives (single, married, divorced, dating) we are all strong, beautiful, independent women who work for what we believe in.  We rejoiced in her autonomy and we reveled in all of our own self-reliance.

The women I was with are also my mentors.  My second family.  My aunts, sisters, and friends.  This evening reminded me (and them) to never settle.  To remember that you are responsible for oneself and that we are all worth the absolute most.  A beautiful evening with beautiful food and wine.  And most importantly, with wonderful, beautiful women.
